Why You Choose Lafayette, La for your wedding?

Lafayette, known for its rich culture and Southern hospitality, offers an array of wedding venues that capture the essence of Louisiana charm. A true Cajun wedding can’t be found anywhere else on earth and that’s something special worth celebrating! I myself, had a big cajun wedding. After getting married in our hometown church my husband and I had our reception at L’Eglise.

What to look for when deciding on a venue...

When booking a wedding venue, there are a few key things to keep in mind to make sure the location is checking all of your boxes. First, make sure the venue can comfortably fit all your guests. Getting an idea of you guest list before you start looking will let you know how much capacity you’ll need. Consider the location—how far away is it from the church? Check the cost carefully, including any hidden fees, to stay within your budget.  See if they offer on-site services like catering and decorations, and if they have amenities like parking, restrooms, and AV equipment. Don’t forget to ask if they include a suite for getting ready. Check whether they allow outside vendors or if you have to use their preferred ones. Ask what their options are for rainy weather. Do they have a tent you can use or would you have to rent one from a separate vendor?

After all of that, you can start seeing if any of their available dates match up with the time of year you were hoping to have the wedding. Keep in mind things like daylight savings time, hurricane season & sports schedules.

The ambiance and style should match your wedding vision. A white ceiling will photograph the best.  Reading reviews and visiting the venue in person to get a feel for the place, should help you make the final decision.
